Hello my dear Community of Light. Your feedback concerning the introduction of our Membership platform and the amounts you would be willing to pay have been well received, thank you very much for your feedback. Some of you have asked to be able to pay in their currency and some would like to do a yearly contribution.
For my membership platform I am working with stripe and was only able to choose one currency per payment button. Since I am blessed to have readers all over the world, I had to choose one currency that was best for most readers and that was US $. And since the current times are more than crazy I am not yet ready to offer a yearly membership option. Maybe I will add this later.
But since you were many to ask for more flexibility in the payment options, I have now figured out some new options for the Donations. I have now replaced the PayPal donation buttons with WhyDonate. With WhyDonate you can choose from a lot of different currencies and also have more payment options. Besides you can choose between a One Time Donation, A Monthly Donation and even a Yearly Donation. Their platform is financed by your Tips. You can choose the amount you want to Tip to WhyDonate and you can even set this Tip to 0. Of course, also WhyDonate has payment processing fees. Those are different depending on the chosen currency and you can see them here.
If you’d like to minimize payment processing fees, you can now donate using the cryptocurrencies XRP and XLM. If you’re new to cryptocurrency or unfamiliar with XRP and XLM, this might be a great opportunity to explore the topic. Please note, this is not financial advice — but my choice of these cryptocurrencies for donations might be a small hint that they could be worth looking into.
