I suppose we all have those times when we compare ourselves to others. I love this message from Archangel Gabrielle that asks us to look at the gifts we ourselves have.

“Dearest ones, I am Archangel Gabrielle, trumpeter of truth, lily of Love, angel of Joy, and angel of communication. And I come today with the message of communication. What are you communicating to yourself? What are you communicating to yourself about who you are? And this subject of comparison, are you comparing yourself to others? This comes up many times, that one is not good enough, that one cannot do as another does. Beloveds, I ask you, we ask you to look within yourself and know the gifts that you bring. As my angel friends tell me, how boring the human world would be, if each one was the same! You have been designed as your own sparkling star with gifts that behoove you, the gifts you have said, I will bring out into the world.
Can seeing what another has done motivate you, inspire you? Yes, but we ask you to look at the gifts you have and yes, you do have them, for each person does. Each human angel, for that is what you are in form, a human angel, an angel in a human body. We come to help motivate you also, to nudge you on the shoulder, to ask you to look at the gifts that you have, how can you bring them forth, whether it is being a kind person, painting a beautiful painting, writing a piece of music, cooking a delicious meal, raising the next generation.
When you begin to compare yourself to others, there is a decrease in your vibration. Now, I am not saying, not to compare yourself in a way that will motivate you. I am saying, in a way, that communicates to your dear, beloved self, your sacred self, that you do not measure up. That is communicating that you do not feel good enough about yourself and that does bring the vibration down.
Now, tap into and feel what it feels like to focus on something that you love to do, that you do and forget the time around you. That beloved, is the gift that is being called, called to bring out into the world or just called to bring out into your own world. When you do so, when you focus on the gifts that you have, the way you receive messages, the way you sing your songs, that is the time that you will soar. And your gifts will motivate others, will inspire others, or touch others in the deepest places. Farewell, I leave you with much love and the invitation to discover who you really are. Farewell.”
