GOD IS THE LOVE IN WHICH I FORGIVE

- ACIM WB Lesson 46
“God does not forgive because He has never condemned. And there must be condemnation before forgiveness is necessary. Forgiveness is the great need of this world, but that is because it is a world of illusions. Those who forgive are thus releasing themselves from illusions, while those who withhold forgiveness are binding themselves to them. As you condemn only yourself, so do you forgive only yourself.
Yet although God does not forgive, His Love is nevertheless the basis of forgiveness. Fear condemns, and love forgives. Forgiveness thus undoes what fear has produced, returning the mind to the awareness of God. For this reason, forgiveness can truly be called salvation. It is the means by which illusions disappear.”
As we go about our daily lives, many of us are struck by the level of fear and condemnation we are witnessing in the outer world. Clearly, a division in belief systems continues to unfold. There are those who miss the comfort and security of their pre-Covid lives who have been convinced by the mainstream media, big pharma, big tech narrative that we cannot return to “normalcy” until all are injected with experimental chemicals, heavy metals, nanoparticles, and God-knows what else.
For the sleepers who believe this spin, those who choose to stand up for their constitutional rights and exercise their free will are a dangerous threat to their health, values, and traditional way of life. Because most of the information in support of the free-will perspective has been censored and relegated to smaller, alternative venues, the mainstream belief system continues to go largely unquestioned, except by those who speak out in person or via social media accounts. So, while the sleepers are certain they hold a high moral position, many are compelled by a repressed albeit intense fear to lash out, accuse, and condemn those who challenge their beliefs.
For obvious reasons, those of us supporting free-will and choice also hold an enormous amount of fear. We have confronted a shocking loss of basic human rights revolving around our ability to breathe oxygen and choose what we do to our bodies. Our belief that our health depends largely on natural, organic, whole foods and resources and in breath as our connection to Life Force makes us worry about the health and well-being of our loved ones, including our children. Many of us no longer feel safe in our communities or work environments due to the trauma induced by forced masks, temperature checks, tests, and contact tracing. We are worried about our livelihood should our employers force injections. Some of us have already had to choose sovereignty over income.
Like the aforementioned sleepers, many of the free-will proponents are lashing out in anger and abuse, unable to see a way through the darkness other than by defending themselves against what they view as the manipulation, deceit, control, and attack of those who appear to be in power.
Truly, these times are calling us into mastery. We are being challenged like never before to go within and discern our path. With every decision we make we are required to either commit wholeheartedly to the ego’s matrix or see beyond it and call our preferred reality into being.
In reflective moments of solitude, those of us with spiritual insight understand that reacting in anger and hate only keeps us in a loop with that which is causing our suffering. We are aware that what we resist persists, and yet, time and again, we walk out into the world and feel the resistance building in our gut, our chest, our throat, knotting and constricting our very Life Force until we have to scream or cry it away. Our inner wisdom tells us that we need to allow what we feel, so we sit with our emotions, allowing them to surface... but the sustained experience of peace we seek comes only through the level of mastery that allows the emotion to be felt without attachment or even belief.
In this human realm, perspective is almost everything. Our perspective aligns us with either suffering or freedom, depending on whether we are aligned with our small self or our divinity. Regardless of the belief systems we are identified with, when we unpack the reactivity and become aware that we are holding anxiety or fear, one of the most powerful prayers we can make is to ask to see things differently. In doing so, we are admitting to ourselves that we don’t like how we feel, and it takes only a little effort from here to realize that, through our unconscious alignment to programs of fear and limitation, we are believing in something that does not serve our highest good. It makes sense, then, that the solution to our predicament is to change our perspective, to choose to see from the heart and mind of our Higher Self rather than through the limited and distorted lens of the egoic personality.
In our decision to merge with our Higher Self, freedom is finally possible. As soon as we tap into this open, mystical viewpoint, we find ourselves beyond victim/perpetrator consciousness and we are able to embrace the entire, insane drama from a vast space of wholeness. Fear drops away, and with it go both the enemy and the small self’s confused desire to attack. Herein lies true forgiveness, a sparkling path beyond the static loop of suffering. The Higher Self recognizes the essence of all as the One, and it is incapable of offering Itself anything but Love.
It takes self awareness and dedication, but as we continue to see through the third dimensional programs, and as we practice returning again and again to the state of forgiveness in which the illusion of fear unravels, we merge more and more with Love. With every prayer to see things differently, and with every powerful instance of forgiveness, we hover closer and closer to that blissful moment when we are at last invited to step out of the egoic matrix we have outgrown.
